Ok, you just started your long term investment in yourself, well after all the obvious steps: loosing or gaining weight, getting your teeth whiten, getting in shape and much more your wardrobe and appearance are on priority list. So the next key piece is your closet is a White Shirt.
As we know now all lot of expensive clothes are the ones that last, new trends come and go but the classics are always in.
When you buy your first shirt look at the fit, this is critical; it will make a difference of a lifetime for your future or old purchased clothes.
The most important part after you find The shirt is to see if it can it be tucked in into a pair of pants or a skirt?!
Your shirt can not be too ample, it should not be longer then the pockets of the pants or the skirt you have it tucked in to.
- The shirt should be free of sequins, details and ornaments…without huge buttons or any pleats or lace.
- The shirt should have long sleeves tiny buttons, preferably same color as the material.
- The Crisp look is ideal, button down is a must!
Remember a POWER lady has always a neat and put together look no matter what event she is attending; so the deduction is match any skirt or pants with a white shirt, and you have an instant outfit.
As the icons of our times these ladies are known as classics, so are there outfits even till this day.

- Rule #1 - Shoulders must be in place not falling over the end of your shoulder line.
- Rule#2 - The shirt can have pockets, but they must be discrete and fit nicely over your breasts (reference: not make them look bigger or smaller) the ideal is to try the shirt and look for the effect in the mirror to understand what fits you best.
- Rule #3 - If there are pleats they must be at the waist, small and discrete, they should have an allure of a fitted look.
- Rule #4 - A stiff crisp collar is a must, whether you are wearing it folded over or standing up.
- Rule #5 - Two different rows of Buttonholes on your sleeves (Smaller for the wrist when wearing full length and second for folded over relaxed look at the elbow.)
Visualize before, you are purchasing your shirt that this is a piece that you will wear with everything.
A white shirt can transform drastic and eccentric pieces into every day simple looks.
For black-tie events you can pair a white shirt with a long black or navy sequins skirt, unbutton it a little bit more than usual, put you collar up and add a huge statement necklace…and you are ready to meet the Queen in this outfit.
