Spring trends for accessories

By Caroline Savard, fashion stylist: www.lamodeavecstyle.com

Spring is just around the corner! Finally!! In the mean time, do not despair! Get rid of the winter gloom by transitioning your current outfits into spring. All that is needed is to integrate some of the upcoming season’s new trends and jewelry is an excellent way to do it!

Softness and femininity

A wind of romanticism will blow this spring. Small florals, pastels and lace will be the top trends for a fresh look accentuating lightness and brightness. It is a feminine and very versatile style that easily goes from the office to more dressed-up evening wear. Match pastel colored jewelry with clothing in the same shades or with neutrals for a more subdued effect.

Gold tones

Already prominent last fall and even more so with the Holiday season collections, gold tones will be ubiquitous this spring. Giving a glamorous and sophisticated look to your outfits, gold captures the light and makes you shine brilliantly. Wear it in small doses during the day, keeping the bling-bling jewelry for your nights out.

The chunky necklace

Short and chunky necklaces are unavoidable this spring. Worn close to the neck, over your clothes, this statement necklace will be the focal point of your look. Crafted with chains, beads and bright colored gems, it can enhance a basic look, jazzing it up with a playful touch.

XXL links

Chains will be dominant in jewelry collections, in particular, extra large braided links. Necklaces, bracelets, even earrings and rings will follow the trend. And, for the latest fashion look, go with a combination of pastel colored and gold chains!/media_library/Guide-tendance-mars2014-Michael-Kors.jpg

The nautical inspiration

As put forward in the last blog, the nautical look is on trend for spring and accessory collections are not an exception. Nautical inspired pendants and charms adorn both necklaces and bracelets. You can choose between a variety of colors this season. Of course, there is white and blue but pastels are also featured. Nautical inspired jewelry teamed up with a marinière are a sublime combination!

/media_library/Montage-photo-Caroline-Savard.jpgPassionate about fashion and style since my childhood, I am constantly looking for new trends and inspirations. As a fashion blogger and personal stylist for La Mode avec Style since 3 years now, I spend most of my time shoping, leafing through magazines and attending fashion events, in order to keep abreast of the news in the fashion world. Inveterate shopper, I love to discover new boutiques and emerging designers.

However, I pay special attention preserving my own style. Our image is our personal signature, it is important to keep it in mind when trying to follow fashion trends. My style is at once classic but equally edgy and modern. As a stylist, I combine fabrics, textures and colors to create trendy looks ! I distinguish myself by my ability to combine different styles creating a coherent et artistic whole. I'm versatile and I have a great capacity to adapt, then no matter the challenge, I'm ready for it.
